Volition Cuts Vol 1 draws a loose thread through the outer edges of the Australian underground, where rhythm is present but rarely dominant and texture does most of the speaking. Moving between ambient drift, abstract electronics, and restrained club forms, it feels instinctive rather than curated. There is no clear centre, only a shared sensibility, sounds that seem to arrive from different places yet settle into the same quiet, unresolved space.
