A7 Edits Volume 6

John Talabot's hypno-Afro edit of Ekambi Brillant's 'Africa Africa' has had a previous vinyl LP outing, but we suspect there won't be too many objections to this deep, pulsing workout now being available on DJ friendly 12".
Taking things into straight up, exuberant Afro Disco territory, the fast rising Alan Dixon nudges Gyedu-Blay Ambolley's 1975, groove heavy 'High Life' killer into potential summer anthem territory, with classy drum additions, classic disco 12" arrangement, and judicious use of the original hooks.
Next up, Jacques Renault brings a bit of additional shimmer, space and dub to Michael Amara's 1974 cover of Manu Dibango's deep Afro funker 'New Bell'.
Closing proceedings, Escapade (aka Walker & Royce and Ardalan) have already seen their pumping rework of Pasteur Lappe's OG anthem 'Na Real Sekele Fo Ya' get multiple Pete Tong R1 plays last year, and we can see this one making additional noise beyond the hallowed R1 portals.
