South Side Funk by The Soul Seven is a seminal 7-inch single that encapsulates the raw energy and groove of 1960s Texas funk. Originally recorded in 1969 by a group of students from Bishop College in Dallas, the track remained unreleased until its 2001 reissue on Stones Throw Records as part of the Funky 16 Corners compilation.
