Stitched together more like a beat tape. 12 movements recorded live with no overdubs; “This record came about with no preconceived ideas of what we were making or what it would sound like”. A crystallisation of GODTET which aided to form the sound of La Sape.

Traversing across spiritual jazz, dub and experimental gestures. It caught international attention from the likes of House Shoes & Gilles Peterson becoming a rare and sought after piece of Australian-Jazz Music History.

A declaration for La Sape Records, of which we’ve used like a mission statement since. Formless, spontaneous and ever evolving music and practice.

The debut is the birth of GODTET a deluge of ideas, liberated fantasies and frequencies to be honed into what we’ve come to know as the sound of GODTET.
